This document describes the high level architecture of the pellustro - Enterprise Data Assessments and Benchmarking platform and explains Functional and Technical architecture of the platform.

Functional Architecture

The primary components of the platform are :

Assessment Life-cycle Management

  • Manage Assessments : The platform provides easy to use interface to publish and manage assessments. Assessments can be used for different type of analysis and is independent of the template used. Pellustro supports Maturity Analysis, Sentiment Analysis and Scorecard. It allows the Publisher to select a desired Template and a Panel for the assessment. Publisher can delegate the task of managing the assessment by selecting Manager and creating Reports to Analysts. Manager can extend the Due Date and notify users through emails to complete the assessment.
  • Monitoring : Publisher can track the overall completion status of the assessment. It can view the responses completed by an individual user and send email notifications to users. 

Assessment Analytics & Charting Engine         

  • Report Generation Engine :  Pellustro has template based Report Generation tool to create final Assessment Reports. The tool allows the user to add Charting Components and Comments at Category / Component level.  

  • Analytics : The user can custom define weight-age to certain Category, Components or Capabilities. Ability to view analytics on top of data submitted by panel members. Different charting options available to view data as per analysis type.
  • Data Export Utility : Extract assessment data of an assessment in CSV format.
  • Benchmarking Engine: Ability to benchmark your assessments against industry peer groups on-demand as well as through access to the growing benchmark repository of pellustro.


  • User & Panel Management: Ability to manage Users and Panels as per the requests, business units or Organization structure of the firm.
  • Model (Template) Management: Platform provides a intuitive interface to build new templates as per the model' s structure for defining Category, Component and Capabilities. It supports N-Level support for Maturity Levels. The template gives flexibility to define the description of Maturity levels.
